Instantly impressive as you walk into the home of this former 19th century gentlemans house. 1 Park Road is the Les Routiers Bed and Breakfast of the year for the North, 2007 located in the heart of Windermere village. The guest's spacious but cosy lounge complete with grand piano, wonderful range of CDs, fresh flowers and some interesting caricatures- make it a wonderful place to sit and read in the evening whilst enjoying a glass of fine wine or beer. A handsome Edwardian villa located on the peaceful side of the village. The newly refurbished Woodlands Hotel offers guests comfortable non smoking bed and breakfast accommodation in truly charming surroundings. The 15 newly refurbished guest rooms with brand new en-suite shower rooms and White Company Toiletries, include a choice of doubles and twin rooms, with two of them located on the ground floor. All rooms are well equipped with 19" flat screen Toshiba televisions, radio alarm clocks, hairdryer and complimentary tea/coffee making facilities. Three of the rooms have King Size 4-poster beds and three of the rooms have super king size beds, if you really want to impress, flowers and/or champagne can be waiting for you in the room. There's a bar and residents lounge where you can relax with a drink, and breakfast is served in the light and airy dining room with its large windows overlooking the garden. Glenville House is a four star guest house property situated just off Church Street (A591). Ideally located just a short walk from both the centre of Windermere and Bowness at the heart of the English Lake District. This traditionally built Lakeland-stone house sits in its own gardens; the atmosphere is relaxed and tranquil. Upon entry guests will be immediately aware that Glenville still holds a lot of its original character. All 6 bedrooms are of a comfortable size. Consisting of 4 Classic Doubles and 2 Superior Double rooms, which have been refurbished in early 2007. Classic rooms have King sized beds. Superior rooms are even larger and have a bath and shower in the en-suite, one of these rooms is located on the ground floor overlooking the front garden and the other has a Super King sized bed. All rooms have en-suite facilities with luxury toiletries and bathrobes provided. The Wordsworth Hotel is at the hub of The Lake District National Park. Magnificant walks start from the doorstep of the hotel, and there are spectacular drives in all directions through some of Britains most impressive landscape. The Hotel features 35 attractive bedrooms, varying from cosy to luxury, but all reflecting the country house feel of the hotel. All have well equiped bathrooms with luxury toiletries and bathrobes.The Prelude Restaurant, offers a seasonal a la carte menu and daily specials that demonstrate Chef's use of the finest fresh produce. Winner of Cumbria and Lake District Life Restaurant of the Year 2005. Our fine dining a la carte menu is £39.50 per person and includes canapes, and a five course dinner with coffee and petit fours served in the drawing room.
